If your device is not on the corresponding firmware version, please try rebooting your device to start the update process.

Hei!
? KOitin joapa vaihtaa päivämäärää, muta sekään ei toimi...

I don't have a Chromecast (2nd generation) Nor do I own a Chromecast audio. My Google accounts are HACKED!!!

Mine is finally working again!!! I had left it unplugged for about 12 days. I plugged it back in and I saw that it was offline on my google home app(where it wasn’t even showing up previously). I tried changing the date on my iPhone but that just made it worse, so I went back to the original date, and I just re-added the device again, as I was mid way, the device updated itself and restarted and I just waited for it to load itself and followed the instructions and it eventually reconnected. Hope that never happens again!

Despite updating the google home, the chrome which I did factory reset intially still cant connect to the wifi network. I already restarted the router and other devices work fine with the wifi. How to overcome this? Is there a fix?
03-25-2025 03:02 PM
I had the same issue but my Chromecast audio was actually connected to the wifi network. The Google Home app just failed to see it and add it to the managed devices. However, I was able to cast to the Chromecast Audio from my phone without problems. Try it out.

I'm still having issues reconnecting my devices after the new version of Google Home was released for android. I factory reset my devices prior to the response not to do so since it was a few days of not working. Now it still has not been able to reconnect. It goes through the process but once it connects, it cannot save the wifi and it's sitting right next to my router, password is correct, version of the app is updated. Am I the only one still having issues?
03-25-2025 08:29 PM
Same here. It stopped working after a few days and now wont connect to my wifi no matter what i do
03-25-2025 08:27 PM
Having the same issue again. Updated everything, worked fine, and stopped working again last night. Nothing will get it to work now! Ive had it.

El día 25 marzo 2025 Chromecast ha dejado de funcionar de nuevo : pantalla con el mensaje No se ha podido establecer conexión con la Red WiFi y el letrero A9N7
03-25-2025 11:24 PM
Funciona de nuevo: simplemente desenchufando y enchufando de nuevo.

Either Google doesn’t know what they are doing with their products, or they are just disabling their products so we are forced to buy new ones. I have some news, Amazon’s Alexa is working fine. They don’t even reply to our messages.
03-26-2025 10:21 AM
I had the same issues with my 2nd gen chrome cast and audio cast devices, the latest home app 3.30.106 for iOS has resolved my issues, thanks.
Finally I can cast again!

In France and the EU, planned obsolescence has been prohibited and punishable since the Hamon Law (2015) and the AGEC Law (2020). Since Google has voluntarily discontinued support or made Chromecasts unusable without a valid technical justification, this is considered a form of planned obsolescence. Violation of consumer rights: Consumers have the right to use a product under normal conditions for a reasonable period of time. If a device is rendered obsolete for arbitrary reasons, this could be considered an infringement of their rights. The discontinuation of services has been demonstrated to be a business strategy.
03-27-2025 03:30 AM
Lack of transparency: If Google has not clearly informed users of the discontinuation of support or the consequences for the affected devices, this constitutes a breach of its duty to inform.
