Hi all,
Is anyone else having this issue when trying to connect with Chromcast to cast from iPhone?
It’s been the same all week and I’m aware of the current issue but I don’t know if this is included since I have no idea what generation of Chromecast I have.
“Family room TV may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again.”
Local network is enabled, I’ve updated my phone, the app, all of it.
Current running iOS 18.3.2
Thanks!

I hope this helps ..I followed advice from previous community member
I had already factory reset my chrome before being warned not to
So this is what I did ...
I changed date on my android phone to 7th March .
I searched for cast device through home again and it connected to it easily again.
Had a little weird back and forth where it said it hadn't connected yet it had on the TV .
The Chromecast started an update which also stopped and started but I let it do it's thing and it completed and restarted itself.
I did a hard reset/reboot on my phone (you know, where you hold the on/off button for ages and then reset)
I set the time and date back to automatic in settings on my phone.
This seems to have fixed the cast problems and am very happy to have my chrome cast back again ,I didn't know how much I would miss it .
Hope this helps
