I’m based in Australia. I like using the ABC iview application and also the SBS application. I have both of these apps installed on my Google TV but… When I open the app it tells me that these applications are not available in my country. My country is Australia. Why is this happening? I’ve checked my Google account which is based in Australia.

To better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Can you confirm if you are using a Google TV Streamer or if Google TV is built into your TV?
  • Was the Google TV device purchased in Australia or overseas?
  • Are you using any VPNs or proxies on your network?
  • Are the device software and apps fully up to date?
  • Have you tried clearing the Google Play Store cache and data on the device? To do that, you can follow these steps:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear cache and Clear storage.
