Says Chromecast is online and connected but won't cast

Have reboot, connected the internet to both phone and Chromecast, shows I can change ambient mode, but every time I try to cast something i.e Netflix it won't cast. Any advice?

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast devices. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: when did the issue start? What is the make and model of your mobile device? Is this only happening with Netflix or across all apps? Please reboot your Wi-Fi router and try to forget and reconnect your phone to the network. Using a different mobile phone and resetting your Chromecast might also help.

Hi, I actually turned off the router extender that was set up by the Vodafone installer, reset the chrome cast and it worked, thankfully!
