Searchable Apps settings not working

I recently purchased and set up a Google TV 4K streamer, and I noticed that it only shows results from YouTube, so I tried to access the "Searchable Apps" setting, but it seems to be broken and keeps loading forever.

I have already tried restarting the device, updating the software, clearing the cache of the individual apps as well as the google system app and even performing a factory reset, but the problem persists.

 

I really need help here as the unified search was the main selling point for me to buy this product.

I appreciate your time and effort in completing the troubleshooting steps described in the post. To continue addressing the situation, could you please help me by answering some questions?

  • What is the make and model of your TV set?

  • Is the Google TV Streamer (4K) directly plugged into an HDMI port of the TV set?

  • What is the status of the Chromecast LED light?

  • How far from the router is your Google TV Streamer (4K)?

  • How many Mbps is your internet connection speed?

  • Have you tried to use your Google TV Streamer (4K) on a different TV? Does it show the same behavior?

  • Could you please share some pictures of the trouble?

Hello Daniel

  • The TV is a Samsung (Model UE43AU7170U)
  • The Google TV Streamer is directly connected to the TV using an HDMI cable
  • The LED is white
  • The Google TV Streamer is directly connected using a LAN cable
  • I don't know about the internet speed but i have no problems streaming in high resolutions
  • I haven't tried it on a different TV (but i doubt that's the problem)
  • Attached is a picture of the settings. It just keeps loading like this forever1000091738.jpg

Thank you so much for keeping me updated. In order to get more information about this situation, I'd appreciate your assistance in answering the following questions. 

  • Are you using a VPN?

  • Could you verify if the region and language are set up correctly?

  • Can you check if the time zone is set up correctly?

  • Are you using a personal account with this device? 

  • Are you using an Ultra High Speed' HDMI 2.1 certified cable?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
