Hello!
I have a Windows 11 laptop and with Chromecast HD dongle connected to television. Trying to cast Youtube.
This is the problem:
The sound starts stuttering as soon as I do something else with my laptop, for example open the task manager, open notepad, open photos etc. The video image keeps ok. I have tried with two laptops, HP Omen and Lenovo Ideapad. Windows 11 and Chrome browser are both updated. I was using Chromecat TV dongle for years to cast Youtube without such problems.
There is no such problem when casting local media from my hard drive using VideoLan VLC Player.
It looks like the problem is in Chrome browser rather then in Chromecas HD dongle because I can cast normally vith VLC Player.
Any ideas?

Hi Escom,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems that your Chromecast device is working as intended. The issue seems to happen when the Chrome browser is not the focused application used from the casting source (Windows 11 computer). I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. The rendering that transpires from the webpage and the Chrome browser to the Chrome browser and the Chromecast device might be too much, especially when RAM usage is divided among other applications being used.
Let us know if you have other questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Kimy
