Hi @del4,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble setting up your new Google TV Streamer (4K) on your Telstra Wi-Fi network. It can be quite challenging when a new device doesn't set up as expected, especially after a recent NBN installation. I understand you've already reset the router, and I'm here to help you get this resolved.

To help me get a clearer picture of the issue and provide the best solution, could you please answer a few questions?

  • What device are you using to complete the setup, and what is its operating system (iOS or Android)?
  • Can other devices in your home (like a phone or laptop) access the internet on the same Telstra Wi-Fi network without any issues?
  • How far is your Google TV Streamer (4K) from your Telstra Wi-Fi router?

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help resolve the issue:

  • Check Proximity: Ensure your Google TV Streamer, the device you are using for setup, and your router are all within 15 to 20 feet of each other to get the best possible connection.
  • Reboot the device: Unplug the Google TV Streamer (4K) from its power source for at least one minute, then plug it back in. This ensures a full reboot, which can often resolve connection issues.
  • Restart the router again: Unplug your Telstra Wi-Fi router from its power source for two full minutes. Once the router is back on and all the lights are stable, try the setup process again.
  • Close and reopen the Google Home app: Fully close the Google Home app on your phone or tablet, and then reopen it. This can help refresh the app's connection and clear any glitches.
  • Try a different device for setup: If you have another phone or tablet, try using it to go through the setup process. This can help determine if the issue is with the original setup device.

Please let me know the answers to the questions and if these steps help. We'll work together to get this resolved.

Regards,

Kevin
