Televisions connected via ethernet not recognised by devices on wifi network.

I wasnt quite sure where to post this, so apologies if it's in the wrong spot.

I have a number of Android Televisions in my home that are hard-wired to the internet via ethernet cable.

My phone/ tablet/ laptop are all connected via WiFi, and when I want to stream something to one of the Android TV's they do not show in the device list.

My wifi router is separate to my modem, so I think I half understand the issue, but is there a way to make all these devices think they're on the same network?

TIA.

Hi @Silky87,

Thanks for posting here in the community! I understand how inconvenient it is when you're not able to cast from your phone or tablet. I'd be happy to help with your concerns.

To better assist you, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What is the model of your Nest Chromecast device?
  • What is the model and manufacturer of your TV?
  • Do you have any other Nest devices connected to the Wi-Fi network?
  • Have you tried casting from another mobile device?

For now, you can try updating the Google Home app and the mobile software version. I also suggest rebooting your Chromecast device and your mobile device.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
