Really frustrated with the Google Support run around:
Bought a 4K Chromecast a few months back. Working fine up until about a month ago. Initially thought it was my wireless network, so I reset it. Issues continued to occur. Reset my Chromecast once and got it reconnected via Google Home. Issues continued to occur. Just had time to sit down and try and reset it today, now I can't even get it connected back to Google Home due to the network disconnects.
I've ruled out my network at this point. I have 2 other Chromecast farther from the AP serving this connection with no issues. I have countless other IoT and personal devices connected to the same AP and SSID that have 0 issues.
I've tried submitting a warranty claim myself, but I'm forced into selecting a device tied to my account. Well I can't select this device because I reset it to try and resolve these issues, and now it won't link back to my account. I've tried the "Contact Us", but it forces me over to a Google Advisor, who can't help with the warranty claim.
I've also tried the directions from a previous community post to open a warranty claim, but the directions still lead me to the only option of a Google Advisor. See post: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Chromecast/How-do-I-submit-a-warranty-claim-for-Chromecast/m-...

Hi averagetech,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. I suggest you check if your device is still covered by warranty here: Warranty Checker. If it’s still covered, then you can reach out to our support team for details about replacements here: Contact Us. You may choose the option of a live chat or a callback from a live representative. We can also send you a form if you prefer communication via email.
Let us know. We look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Kimy

Hey Kimy, even more frustrated now because it seems like my original post was not completely read. I can't use the warranty checker, because the Chromecast is not currently registered to my account. At one point it was, then I reset it in an attempt to try and resolve the issues, and now I can't set it back up via Google Home because of the hardware issues with WiFi. It's disconnecting before I even get a chance to set it up. When I try to use the Contact Us method, I am only ever prompted with an option to chat, and that is with a Google Advisor who cannot help me with my warranty claim because they are not Google employees (their words, not mine). Please don't give me the runaround. I just want to submit this for a warranty claim.
