What a major dissapointment

Absolutly no difference for the user (not having thread devices) comparing it to the Chromecast - Google TV
No more options, no more apps, not very much faster, in essence NOT WORTH double price.
What is google thinking?
Why not launch Chrome and Googles docs on the streamer, so it actually can give some value?

Never bought this had I known this.

BTW  Ending suport for local login (without pairing to phone) on google tv, is a bad move also. before update it was no problem, after update it is impossible. Another realy bad move from google!

There are a lot of hardware improvements in Streamer.

Lots more memory, an included ethernet port (instead of a option you have to buy), and a new design that doesn't put strain on the HDMI port.

Here is a deeper comparison.

Some of those may not seem like much now, but as it moves forward it gives you better options for the future.
