When trying to cast Peacock it now says "Device no longer support"

Is that because the chromecast is old or my LG tv is old?

Or is it some other issue that I cannot think of?

My chromecast on that tv is older.

Cast firmware 1.36.159268

The LG TV

Model 47LB6300-UQ

software version 05.05.90

Hello carthoris,

Thank you for taking an interest in our community. I'm sorry to hear that your Google Chromecast is not casting the streaming service Peacock. But don’t worry; I’ll be more than happy to provide you with more information.

Regarding the situation, it is because support for the Google Chromecast 1st gen has ended. This means it no longer receives software or security updates, which can lead to performance degradation.
However, there are newer Chromecast models available and designed for various lifestyles and may offer improved performance. You can explore the available options on the Google Store.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them here.

Best regards,
Daniel

Thank you. I have already purchased a newer one, just never got around to installing it. I guess I need to now.
