The Wifi still toggles to off randomly. This is obviously a bug that has been reported for years as far as I can see - e.g. https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Chromecast/Newer-Chromecast-Wifi-Toggle-Issues/m-p/9549
The only workaround which doesn't completely work is to turn off the power saving feature. This makes the device usable but Wifi will still toggle off.
Does the product team not use the product? Do they not check for the user feedback? I am trying to understand how a bug like that can exist for years.

I looked through the previous thread and I see that Jaren had asked you a few questions like what kind of troubleshooting steps you had taken, what band Wi-Fi network, and which country you're located in. If you could provide that information we might be able to troubleshoot for you. I know it might be annoying to hear but sometimes issues are only partially reported or put on forums and not actually brought before an engineer. Personally I have every generation of Chromecast and I've never had an issue where it drops Wi-Fi randomly, I can only speak from personal experience though.

I have the Verizon WiFi 6 router https://www.amazon.com/Verizon-Fios-Home-Router-G3100/dp/B082BLM2KH/ref=asc_df_B082BLM2KH/?tag=hypro...
It has 2.4 and 5.8 bands. There are multiple reports of this issue and even articles are janky workarounds (really too many to list):
https://streamingtrick.com/google-tv-keeps-disconnecting-to-wifi/
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/k3n1ey/google_tv_keeps_dropping_connection/
The solution that works most often is to turn off the power saving option. However that is not 100% effective. It is not a user issue. It is bug in the device and it is annoying at hell that no one is working on it given the number of users reporting it throughout the years.

Heya chrisgaun,
I was talking to a higher tier of support about these cases, it looks like there isn't necessarily a bug, just a need to optimize the network configuration. Here are some settings that we would recommend:
If you are able to, give that network config a try and let us know if you still run into any issues!
Best regards,
Jeran
