Wifi speed issue

Hello. I use chromecast at home. My wifi network is 5 ghz. Channel in use is 38.

Chromecast connect with high speed like 250 300 mbps,then speed goes down all the way to 8 mbps or 12 mbps.I check it on the wifi router.

Solution is restart.

 

All other devices work fine-phones, android tv,notebook. Chromecast is 1 meter away from wifi router.

P.s. I tried factory reset,no luck.

  2. Is your Chromecast connected to the Internet via cable or wirelessly?
  3. Does the speed slow down only when you cast a specific app, or all the time?
  4. Does the image freeze or keep loading when you use your Chromecast?
  5. What make and model of WiFi router do you have?
  6. Is your Chromecast up to date?

1.Chromecast 4g.

2.the question is about wifi 5g,of course it connected wirelessly

3. Different times different apps

4.which image? Sometimes it happens when I am not casting

5. I checked on 4 routers. Cisco,compal,linksys and tplink

  4. When you play video, is the video displayed on your TV buffering, lagging, or not playing properly?

1. Chromecast with google tv

2.no changes to router. I noticed fee mnth ago. Before that bot sure,maybe I was just reliading it but not checked speed

3.no messages when im not running any apps or video

4.when watching youtube for ex,it is trying to open but nothing comes to screen

Since you mention that you don't experience performance issues like buffering, lagging, or the video not playing properly, it's possible that the reading from your router indicates the bandwidth your Chromecast device is using at that specific moment. 

If you have a Chromecast with Google TV (4K), for smooth, high-quality 4K streaming, we recommend an internet speed of at least 20 Mbps. This will allow your Chromecast to run smoothly and give you the best possible image quality.
If your device is a Chromecast with Google TV (HD), the internet speed requirements are lower, as high-definition streaming consumes fewer resources than 4K streaming.

It's important to remember that your Chromecast will not use all the available speed from your router. It only needs enough bandwidth to efficiently stream content, whether in 4K or HD.

But I wrote that on low speed like 9 mbps youtube is not opening. So there is performance issue .
