I have a nest camera that is wired to monitor a location at our office. I then use a chromecast connected to a monitor to view the stream. I was able to set this up using the instructions on this page https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7529598?hl=en
From this page, it claims "To save power, the live video stream stops automatically:
However, despite being a wired camera where it claims the stream should continue for 12 hours, after about 5 minutes the stream stops and just returns to the chromecast home screen.
Has anyone encountered this problem before and found a way to rectify it?

Hello @jmurr,
Thanks for reaching out to the community, and I also thank you for posting about the glitch you are getting on your Chromecast. I definitely understand your concern about it. Here are some steps that you can follow to get it fixed.
The provided webpage here doesn't mention why a wired Nest Cam stops streaming after 5 minutes. However, according to Google Nest support, live video from wired Nest cameras should stop after 12 hours, not 5 minutes.
There might be a temporary glitch with the Nest camera or Chromecast. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Restart the Nest camera and Chromecast: Power cycle both devices by turning them off and on again. This can often resolve minor glitches.
Check for software updates: Ensure both the Nest camera and Chromecast have the latest software updates. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
Verify internet connection: A weak or unstable internet connection can disrupt the stream. Check your Wi-Fi signal strength and restart your router if necessary.
Re-set up the live stream: Delete the current live stream setup and follow the instructions on the Google Nest support page to set it up again.
Regards,
Helio
