Using the YouTube app on my "Chromecast With Google TV" device purchased from Google October 2020:
1. The long press on a YouTube thumbnail no longer brings up the menu to select "not interested", "go to channel", etc. Long press now only selects and plays the video.
2. The thumbnails are larger and fewer fit on a screen.
I see several people are reporting these issues in the YouTube app reviews beginning in July 2023 so I'm not the only person seeing this. Is this an intended function change or is it a bug or what? It's ruining the app. Not sure if I have the HD or the 4k version. Thanks.

Hi PatrickB,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. I’ve checked mine, and it seems to still have the press and hold options. I assume that you’re using Premium YouTube as I am. Is this isolated to the YouTube app only? Have you tried to clear the cache and reinstall the app? If the reviews are related to YouTube alone, I suggest you give our friends at the YouTube Help Community a shout. Let us know if you still have questions.
Thanks,
Kimy

Yes, I have a premium YouTube account. As far as I know it was isolated to the YouTube app but I don't think I use that on any other apps. The YouTube app longpress options returned for me (I think) yesterday 7/29. That's when I noticed it. I'm very glad this is now working again. The YouTube app still has the very large thumbnails which are undesirable but thankfully the longpress options have returned. Thanks.

Hello PatrickB,
That’s awesome! I’m glad that this has been sorted out. I’ll mark this as completed, and I’ll close this thread after 24 hours. Feel free to create a new one if you have concerns in the future.
Cheers,
Kimy
