There is a known issue in the latest 275994 firmware affecting Chromecast 2, Chromecast 3, Google Home, Google Home Minis that breaks connectivity on the upper range 5GHz channels (149-165).
Even though Google have advised me this is a known issue, they are continuing to roll this firmware out.
There are two sub-optimal workarounds available until Google fix this defect (use a lower channel 5GHz network or connect on 2.4GHz).

Set your wifi channel for the 5ghz to below 149 and this should fix the issue for you, if seems to have worked for everyone else !

Can you try rebooting your router to see if can connect once you do that? Is your 5ghz network a seperate name from your 2.4 GHz ? How far is the router from the Chromecast , as 5ghz has a much shorter range?

I tried reboot router, update router firmware, no work.
5GHz and 2.4GHz are separated SSIDs.
Chromecast is located under 5 meters from router.
It has connected to 5GHz and worked for 6 months or more. the problem happened about 3 days before now without any configuration change.
There are some people have same problem under the post below.

What type of router are you using ? I ask as I am on latest firmware with all my chromecasts and they still work with 5ghz.. so it may be an issue with the router or a setting specific that is causing the issue.

I am using ASUS RT-AX68U. Here are some config parameters maybe affect.
Wireless mode: Auto (N/AC/AX mixed)
802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode: on
WiFi Agile Multiband: disable
Bandwidth: 20/40/80 MHz
Channel: Auto (149)
Extend Channel: on
Authentication: WPA2-Personal
WPA Encryption: AES
Protected management frame: disable
WPA group key rotation interval: 3600
I need to know the new features about fw ver. 1.56.275994 to figure out the solution of this problem.
