iPhone won’t connect to chrome with wifi

I’m having issues setting up my chrome casts. I have two different versions with the same issue. When connect to the Wi-Fi I get this message:

“Bedroom TV may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again.”

Local network is enabled, I’ve updated my phone, looked for updates on the Google home app, force quit the app, restarted the devices, reset my network settings on my iPhone, nothing has helped. What should I do?

Hi savannahhigdon,

We appreciate you doing all those steps. Let’s further look into it. A few questions: are you using a private or a shared WiFi connection? If private, is your router dual-band? Which band are you trying to connect to your Chromecast device? Have you tried using a different setup device?

I’ll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Alex
