minimize the pause menu while paused

I'm using my 2nd gen chromecast to cast youtube from my PC to my TV (it isn't a google nor android tv). When I pause the video a pause menu pops up that covers half the screen making it impossible to read or see. This menu used to minimize after about 10 seconds but now stays up indefinitely. The only way to minimize the pause menu is to play the video for about 5 seconds which is completely counterproductive since the point of pausing was to give me time to read what is on the screen. Is there any way to minimize the pause menu of a youtube video while the video is paused?

Oh, and to answer an answer that I already received;  I do not have a remote so I don't have a back button to press.

Hey there KonLesh,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that radio issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know those controls can bug me as well. Quick question, do you have a mobile device that has the YouTube app? There may be a setting you can disable that would remove that overlay. Here is a way to disable those on-screen controls:

  1. Log into the YouTube app on your phone.
  2. Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap on Settings.
  4. Tap on Accessibility.
  5. Either toggle off the Accessibility player, or change the Hide player controls option.

I hope that helps! If you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran
