I have the Chromecast 4 HD, which I was using normally for almost a year. Today, I got an animation on the screen asking me to disconnect the power supply. I did it and reconnected it. It asked for configuration data, and when it said it would install apps, it got stuck on the Google TV logo screen. I tried a factory reset by holding the button for more than 15 seconds, but the light remains solid white and never turns yellow. It still stays on the Google TV screen.

Thanks for posting here in the community forum. I’m sorry to hear your Chromecast 4k HD is stuck on the Google TV screen. Don’t worry; I'm here to assist you. 

If your TV screen stays black or you can't get a signal when you want to use your Chromecast, try these troubleshooting tips:

• Reboot the Chromecast and TV: 

1. Power off the TV, unplug the TV, and Chromecast from there (Power source and HDMI connection)
2. Wait one minute, plug the TV and Chromecast into their power source, and wait 30 seconds.
3. Power on the TV and connect the Chromecast device to the TV HDMI port.
4. Tune the TV to the same HDMI input where the Chromecast is plugged in.

• Use a different HDMI port on the TV: Try to plug the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on the TV.
• Test the Chromecast on another TV: 

1. Plug in the Chromecast device to the TV.
2. Test if the Chromecast works

• Perform a factory reset: Just to double-check that you have performed this troubleshooting step correctly,

1. While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered on, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
2. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast will then reset.
