Like many others, I found that the cast option was missing in the three dot menu on my Chrome browser. The help items looked like they were generated by AI, and only gave wrong advice. You can update and reboot 10,000 times and you still won't find it ...
UNTIL YOU FIND OUT THEY BURIED THE CAST OPTION WAY WAY DOWN IN THE DEEPEST SUB-MENU!!
Go to the three dot menu, look way down to an option you had never noticed before. There is a menu item entitled "Save and Share." Select that, and way way down, cowering at the bottom, will be the recently displaced cast option. You might have to scroll your entire screen if your resolution is set too low. But there it will be, and hopefully you did not miss too much of your Thursday Night Football on prime. We hate Amazon, I know, but this a little extreme!

Thanks for the feedback! This is a very recent change to Google Chrome that's still rolling out, It looks as though the help content hasn't been updated yet to reflect that, which I've flagged with the team.

I have recommended the answer given by David_K. But I still wish somebody would tell me why the cast option was buried. To me it's the most important feature of Chrome browser. Google is trying to get away from Chromecast dongle, now that they have deals with Sony and others to build it into their devices, or what is the real reason?
