Which site (back- or front-) of a chromecast dongle is most sensitive to a wifi signal. What is the least signal strenght in dbm for which the dongle is still working well. This in order to be able to design the network. Anyone has an answer to this ?

Hi Aadvanderpol,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. The plastic casing has the same thickness on both the front and back. The wireless connectivity nexus, a Broadcom-then-Cypress Semiconductor-now-Infineon Technologies BCM43598 "single-chip IEEE 802.11 b/g/n MAC/baseband/radio with integrated Bluetooth 5.1 compliance", is situated in front alongside the 8 GByte eMMC flash memory. It’s as if it were a pair of human lungs, and at the back of it is where the processor is. Technically, it shouldn’t be a problem whether it’s facing front or back. But just for FYI, the wireless chip is on the side where you see the G logo. I hope this answers your question. Let us know if you still have any.
Thanks,
Kimy
