I replaced my gen 2 doorbell with a gen 3 doorbell. My Nest Aware subscription renewed on Jan 28, 2026. How do I update my subscription to the new device?

If you had a 2nd gen Google Nest Wired Doorbell (installed in the Google Home app), then you must have had a 2nd gen Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription (now called Google Home Premium Standard or Advanced); those subscriptions cover ALL 1st and 2nd gen and 3rd gen cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure" on the same Wi-Fi network.
If, however, you actually had a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell, then you MAY have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, which apply only to specific cameras and doorbells had haven't been sold since 2023. If that's what you have, then you'll have to cancel that subscription and get the new 2nd gen subscription (available since 2020).

yeah unfortunately there is no more Nest Aware...Just the Google "premium" services that will, unlike Nest Aware;
Deletes ALL recorded history on every Camera you have if a payment even thinks it may not going through. Nest would restore the recordings as soon as you submitted the payment.
Stops all recordings if the card stops a charge for a fraud alert (bank initiated, not me). Next aware carmeras kept recording just in case you renewed your aware subscription and See above.
Drops the 24/7 video recording down to a whopping 10 whole days. Nest Aware was longer.
Operating a newer Google Camera with Google Home App or Web App is so much worse than if you stayed with your old Nest camera and used the Nest App or home.nest.com. No clip saving. So you will need to screen record your phone or PC if you need any video. The Events the Google camera misses and then gets rid off after the 10 day 24/7 live recording is unreal. Example, when we celebrated a birthday recently I checked to see if some of the party was captured. The whole party was live recorded by the Google Camera (3RD GEN !!)....10 days later...No events happened that day.... NOTHING. Weird....The cut so many corners and only bought Nest to milk the Nest name for every dime they can. At this point it is probably easier to Flash the old nest and new google camera firmware and hook them up to a DIY system. The google home "premium" is literally the worst part of the products. We miss you Nest o7
