I haven't as of yet. The last time I dealt directly with Nest Support I was left £200 out of pocket which I was told would be reimbursed but wasn't, so I don't particularly trust the support process.

The installer isn't responsible for replacing the unit. They are a third party, it wasn't purchased from the installer. And the retailer isn't responsible for covering out of pocket expenses causes by faulty hardware.

Images attached. No, opening the app doesn't trigger detection, I have to manually toggle that I'm home. And even when I do it doesn't trigger routines (i.e. switching the heating from Eco to on).
