Google nest cannot hood a charge and shuts down

My nest keeps saying the battery isn’t charging. I have taken off the wall and charge with a USB and attached back to the wall. After a few hours it shuts down again and I receive the same messages. I am in Chicagoland and the temp is 110 right now. ...
