I just purchased and installed a Google Nest thermostat that I purchased
new from Amazon and the batteries are already dead. Or at least close to
dead, because the Nest is now telling me that the batteries need to be
replaced. Is this normal?
When I go to device info, it says “Model: Thermostat-1.4 “ and device ID
“641666006458975F”. Can’t really tell by searching online which model
year this is, so it seems newer than 2020??? Not sure this changes your
opinion, it was just disconcerting ...
