Make sure you are on a WIFI, and nothing is distorting the signal. It could be a simple WIFI issue that is messing things up for you.

From your Nest or Home app, select the history, and select the date. Note, that you can only recover previous recordings if you have a Nest subscription.

Make sure you are on the same wifi as all your devices. Ie. being on the main router when your devices are connected to a different wifi source will render an error.

You can add it to Nest and Home, note they are two different apps. Note that Nest will require a subscription if you would like to have a history of visits to your front door.
