I have a number of Geeni and Roku products added to me Google Home App. I was told that I need to use a Google Streaming Device (ChromeCast, Nest Device) to view the camera. I am able to view them with ChromeCast. I thought that before getting a Google Nest I would first set up my devices in my Google Nest App. After logging into the Nest App I am not seeing any of my devices. I do not see “Works With Nest” under Options. I have one Geeni wired doorbell, two Geeni cameras, two Geeni outlets, two Roku streaming devices and two ChromeCast devices. I have not attempted to set up the ChromeCast devices - or read up on it yet.
I think I am missing something but do not know what that is. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi BrianSandra,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.
Setting up devices can be confusing sometimes, let me give you more information. You don't need to use the Nest app for this. You can use your Google Home app to set up your new Chromecast devices just like how you set up your other Chromecast and they should sync right away. Check the helpful link below on how to set up your Chromecast.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Juni

I have already added two ChromeCast - and other devices - in Google Home. I do not see any of the devices in Google Nest.

Hello BrianSandra,
Have you tried linking your camera in the Google Home app? Check this article for more information.
Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex! Yes I also have two cameras and a doorbell linked. But still Google Nest is empty.

Understood. If possible, could you send us a picture of what's showing on your Google Home app? Kindly edit your personal information if it's showing.

Hi BrianSandra,
Thanks for the photo you sent. Do you also experience the same even when using a different phone? Make sure that the correct account is linked before setting up.

Hi @BrianSandra,
Chiming in — i'm sorry for the confusion. The main app that we use for the Chromecast devices is the Google Home app. If you also have the Nest app, only cameras and thermostats under Nest app can be viewed on that app.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Nikki

Hello Nikki!
Thanks for the information! Although it is disappointing I can move on to another home app that supports what I want to do.
Best regards.

Well I am getting no solutions so it is still a problem. Could it be that Google Home simply does not work? Prove me wrong - anyone please.

Hi BrianSandra,
Sorr for the late revert. We would just like to confirm your issue. Based on the screenshot that you sent it appears that your devices are showing in the Google Home app. Which devices are still missing? Also, did you try the step provided by Princess to further isolate the issue?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Juni

You are correct - all devices are showing up in Google Home. The issue is that these devices do not show up in Google Nest. I have followed the other steps outlined but the issue still remains.

Hi there,
Thanks for the update. Is your Nest account already migrated to Google? If not, Works with Nest connections will continue to work for those users who have a non-migrated Nest Account in the Nest app for as long as our partners support them.
Check this link for more information.
Hope this helps.

Juni

Hello Princess! As I stated a number of times, I have re-synced Google Nest and THERE ARE NO DEVICES showing. I want to use Google Nest. The devices are ONLY showing in Google Home - including a number of Google Home Mini and Chromecast devices.

Hmm…. If I could upload an image it would show that my home has NO DEVICES. Is there anyone that can sow me what is wrong or fix this? Google Nest appeared to be the easiest route to add my devices. I may end up going the Alexa route if this cannot be done.
