When I am setting up my home, the person I invite says they can’t join the home because we are in two different locations… I created my account as US but their’s is another location. How do we solve this? I’m not finding a way to change either of our locations?

This does not seem to be stated anywhere on the Google Nest Help website, but I wonder whether a prospective Google Nest household member has to be on the same Wi-Fi network in order to accept an invitation to join a Google Nest household.

@MplsCustomer Oh that’s an interesting thought. We’ll trying out being on the same Wi-Fi network when accepting and see if that works. I do have a feeling though that it won’t be the solution. I bet there is some sort of unthought through thing where they didn’t think of a home being created with people from different countries, which is kind of surprising honestly at this point in time.

Hi Wat,
Within the Google accounts involved, is the Home address set as the same address? Each Google account has the option to set an address that is labeled as home, and if those match you shouldn't have issues sharing a household.
Thanks,
Jeff
