Find my iphone with Google Assistant doesn't work when iPhone is in silent or in Do Not Disturb mode

Greetings

I have followed the instruction on this page to set up Google Home app notifications on my iPhone so that Find my iPhone feature works from my Google home speaker. I have also enabled Critical Warnings on the iPhone

If the phone is not on Silent of Do not Disturb mode, everything works fine and I get a ring on the iPhone when using the Google speaker to find my iPhone. But if I set the iPhone into Silent or Do not Disturb mode, a notification comes on the screen, but the iPhone does not ring.

I am using the latest iOS 15.2 on an iPhone 13.

Appreciate any help.

I have followed the instructions on that link (as mentioned in my original post). There it clearly says:

You won't get a notification alert from your phone if it:

  • Is set to silent or Do not disturb, unless you’ve enabled critical alerts

My critical alerts are on but still no audible alerts when Do Not Disturb is on.

Thanks

The problem is not solved. I also just posted it in Google Assistant Forum as you suggested.

I have the same issue, iOS 15.2, iPhone 12 Pro Max, I've tried disabling critical alerts and enabling them again and all the obvious turning on and off stuff but still doesn't work when my phone is on silent.

I have the same problem when trying to setup the find my phone capability with my mother-in-law's iPhone 7 Plus and her Nest Home. The notification shows up on her phone, but doesn't make any noise if the phone is set to silent or focus mode. I have also followed the critical alerts instructions linked above. Her phone is running the latest iOS 15.

One point if you haven't already tried this is to disable and re-enable critical alerts in the Google Home app. A banner will pop up if you also need to enable critical alerts in the iPhone settings. You can do this by going to iOS Settings > Notifications > Google Home app and making sure Critical Alerts is toggled on there.

Unfortunately this didn't make a difference for me--even after a phone restart...

I just gave up and downloaded Tile app. There you just create an account, link that account to Google Home and set up a routine when I say "where is my phone" it will trigger "ask tile to find my phone". This works flawlessly with my phone on silent and you don't need any Tile device or anything like that.
