GSuite & Nest accounts

jmdenis

Hey, I just bought 4 Nest camera battery and 1 Nest doorbell. I am using my GSuite account for Google home since I don't have or want a GMail account. When I try to install any of theses hardware, I am stuck in a loop where Google Home ask me to migrate my Nest account to a Google which I can't since it's a GSuite account. The only way is to cancel the installation and then, I don't have any hardware installed. Let me know if you do not support GSuite so I will not use or buy any Nest hardware anymore. Thanks

Hey there just to be clear this is a community forum we are not Google employees.  Saying this no you can't use a g suite account to set up a nest, it has to be from a personal Gmail account, which is free.  You can however link a g suite account to the nest family.   Since the Gmail account is free I'm curious why you wouldn't want to just create a free account so that you can run your Google home from there?

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed. Unfortunately, @Ashepherdson is correct, you are not able to use a G Suite account. It must be a Gmail account.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.
