I purchased a Hue Bridge, and set up a bulb. Everything works fine with the Hue app, I'm able to fully control the bulb. But when I connect the Google Home to the Hue, I see a bunch of other devices and rooms (i.e. lights in a basement when we don't have a basement). I can control these lights (at least it looks like I can). The bulb I set up does not appear in my google home.
When I log into Google home and look at my linked devices, and choose "update devices" I get an error message "Something went wrong. Try again."
I've tried restarting the router, re-installing google home, re-installing the Hue bridge, etc.
How can I make Google Home/Assistant see the right devices?

Hi SuperK,
Thanks for reaching out. By any chance, do you have lights that are previously set up on your Philps Hue account as well as in the Home app under your account? Can you check if you can see those devices here: https://goo.gle/3qmKl0u
Lastly, if you can send a screenshot or photo of what exactly you're getting on the Home app, that would be very helpful for us to check on it further.
Looking forward to your response.
Best,
Princess
