My Google Assistants stopped turning my lights off at a scheduled time. They tell me that my lights need to be setup in the Google Assistant Settings. I could use some feedback on how to setup that function regarding my lights.Thank you.

Hello McB1,

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

A few questions: what smart light manufacturer are you using? Are they still working using voice commands or in the Google Home app? What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Unlink and then relink your smart lights from the Google Home app. Here's how: open the app > Tap the Settings > Look for Works with Google > Select the light manufacturer > Unlink. Do the same steps to relink your devices. Once done, ask your Google Home to "sync the devices" and then confirm if you can now control the lights.

Best,
Lovely

Hi McB1,

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps I provided above? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.

Hi McB1,

Apologies for the confusion, but we haven’t had the chance to get the smart devices we’re going to be working with. Also, which Nest speakers do you have? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers, then your smart lights.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Dan
