Google Home App migration

I downloaded this app and tried to follow the instructions. After + there is no listed option to migrate from google WiFi where all my devices are. So then I tried to use the Set up a Device option and the app can’t find any devices. Yes, my WiFi is working, yes I’m signed in using the same gmail acct on both the google WiFi app & google home app. I’m more than frustrated as I’ve lost the ability to control my devices, including my thermostats which disappeared from the nest app when I somehow linked that account. And I can’t even re add those separately to this app as nothing happens when I scan the QR code. Grrrrr

I have the same problem. I have bought so many Google products, they should be sending someone to my house to fix all these issues. I assume you haven't heard anything? I'm at a loss

No reply. And I have a 2 story house with separate thermostats up & down. Life was so easy before google decided they know what we need. If Amazon can figure it out why can’t google? My Alexa app has no problem with the Alexa enabled devices.

Hey there,

I'm real sorry about the late response, I appreciate your patience! I assume that you're still having these account issues? If so, I'd be happy to help figure this out. I'll just need to ask you some questions:

  • When did you first experience these issues?
  • Was there any recent changes to your account or Google Home setup?
  • Do you get an error message when you scan the thermostats QR code?

Along with those questions above, would you be able to show me a screenshot or a video of what happens when you get stuck in the migration process, as well as when you scan the QR code of the thermostats? I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions or concerns, please let me know!

Best regards,

Jeran

I first experienced these issues last week when I tried to use the google WiFi app for the first time in months. I got the message that I’d need to migrate to google home but when I downloaded google home there was no option to migrate after I touched +. And there was no way to just add the thermostats. I’ve since managed to get the thermostats back onto the Nest app and that’s where the6 will stay. What I wanted to know from you is why there is no migration option on the screen after I touched the +.

I've got The identical problem I hit migrate and it says I've already migrated Google home doesn't see it this is with the Google Wi-Fi mesh puck. Everything works fine but I have no control now.

Me too! I was just trying to figure out how to migrate and was following the instructions and there is no option to migrate the google wifi. Adding the Google wifi can't find it. I see you aren't getting anywhere with responses, so I'm not to hopeful.

I just bought another router since mine was about 4 years old. Was a pain in the butt to change wifi on all my smart devices, but was a great decision in the end. Ya blew it Google.
