Google Home can't detect Android TV device

I have just setup a new JVC Android TV but have had no luck in adding it as a new device in Google Home.

I have ensured that TV and my mobile device are both on the same 2.4 GHZ network. I have also gone thru other troubleshooting tips like, ensure Chromecast on demand is enabled, time is auto network time on the TV, all updates are installed on the TV and mobile, restarted the router.

Google Home just cannot detect the device (supposed to be ATV R2). Is there anything else that can be tried. Is there any way to add the new TV manually under Home?

Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, does your Android TV have a built-in Chromecast? What exact message are you getting when setting it up using the Google Home app? In the meantime, please check this support website article to see more info about setting up a TV with built-in Chromecast. Also, you may try to reboot your TV and reinstall the Google Home app.
