Trying to set up Chromecast Built-in on Pioneer LX-505, Google Home app does not see the Pioneer when I try to add device. I can connect the Pioneer to the network thru Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable & have tried it both ways. I am open to any suggestions.

Hi GxBJacket,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Some devices with Chromecast built-in are not required to be set up using the Google Home App. The Google Home App won’t find these devices when searching for them during setup. Most of these devices are capable of connecting to WiFi on their own. And once it’s connected, it will then be discovered by the Google Home App under local or other devices, as long as both the device and the phone (with the Google Home App) are connected to the same network. I hope this answers your question. Let us know if you still have other concerns.
Thanks,
Kimy

Not satisfied. I have a Chromecast dongle plugged into my receiver. It works fine except on Prime Video (video stalls); I can improve it a little by power cycling it. I was hoping that the Chromecast Built in would work better. I can see it, now; but all I can do is control the volume of other apps, like Spotify, which is redundant. I use various OTT services. Issues with Chromecast - I hate the remote, Prime stalls, and Chromecast devices don’t last long (I’m on my 3rd one). When this one dies, we will consider another platform.
Thank you for following up with me.
