Home keeps indicating devices being removed, when I haven't touched any settings...

Last night and even this AM, I'm seeing where devices in Google home app are showing that they are being removed, and I have no knowledge of this happening. Could this be a synced service from a long time ago?

Mine did the same thing and I can’t get them back even though it says my account is linked.

Mine has now done the same. All of my linked devices except for my Google and Eufy devices are gone. I cannot re-linked even though it says “account successfully linked”

The same thing happened to me and now my devices won’t reconnect

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you.

A few questions:

  1. What Google Home or Google Nest speakers and displays do you have?
  2. How long did the device work before the unlinking issue started?
  3. Are you getting any message on your device when it's unlink?
  4. Did the device eventually start to work again or do you need to restart it?
  5. Are you using a public or private network?
  6. How frequent does the device unlink (daily, weekly, etc.)

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router. Also, try resetting your device to its default settings.

Best,

Alex

I have Google home mini and Lenovo Google Home Display. My system has been working for years. I got a message that all my devices managed by the Geeni app have been removed. The devices are still working from the Geeni app so they haven’t been unpairs they just won’t appear in the Google Home app. I have tried relinking Geeni and it links successfully but then it does not give me any device to add to Google Home. I am using a private network.

Hey Ajimenez454,

Have you tried resetting your Google Home speaker? If so, try saying "OK, Google sync my devices". Rebooting your router might help too.

Best,

Alex

I have 6 Google home minis and one display. Are you suggesting I restart all of them? All the devices work from the Geeni app they just don’t connect to Google anymore.

Hey Ajimenez454,

You can reset one of your Google Home devices. Also, try reinstalling your Google Home app.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Ajimenez454,

Checking back in — did resetting one of your Google Home Mini work?

Best,

Alex

I tried to reconnect the Geeni about while I was on vacation and everything showed back up. Weird because I tried the same thing from home and nothing appeared to be linked. I did not need to reset anything.
