Ihost, Sonoff zigbee smart water valve, and google home

Hi,

I've been adding devices through zigbee to take some pressure off the wifi network, and normally when I add them through my iHost, they automatically show in the Home App for Google. I added the  sonoff zigbee smart water valve and it shows in the ihost panel but it doesn't transfer to the google home app, any ideas on what to do?

  • Is your Sonoff Zigbee smart water valve listed as an online device within your iHost panel?

Hi, I don’t see sonoff as a partner company to add directly to google home. 

the device is listed on the zigbee panel and works to turn on and off through there. 

this is odd as all the other devices show fine just not this one.

Thanks for following up! I understand you don't see the option to add your Sonoff Zigbee smart water valve to the Google Home app. This is definitely an experience we don't want you to have. Let's work together to find a solution! To isolate the root of the inconvenience, I'd like to ask some more questions:

  • Is your Sonoff Zigbee smart water valve already set up on the eWeLink app?
  • Do you have the option to select the eWeLink on the Google Home app list?
  • Is your Google Home app updated? If not, please check out our helpful article to update it: Update the Google Home app
