Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Hey there,

Thanks for the information, sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this.

Have you tried reaching out to LG for help in their forum? It sounds like an issue with the device. You can also try doing a factory reset on the device to see if it comes up.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS

Hi Garret, I don't think that it sounds like an issue with the device, the device works pretty well, and i can control it frome de LG app (ThinQ), it looks like the issue is related to the google/Lg apps interface

Hey there,
Just wanted to hop in here to see if we still needed help on this. Were you able to reach out to LG and see if they had any suggestions as well? If this is an issue with the partnership between LG and Google, I'm happy to take that feedback and pass it forward.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Happy New Year,
Garrett DS

Hi! Could you fix the problem? I have the same issue and I also think it's due to the google/lg interface, because I've tried the same procedures as you and nothing has worked.

Same for me, I log in to Google Home, link LG Think APP and it ask's to login with google. Then it says " Currently, the service is not supported in our country. (Romania IP), LG says is not their fault!

My TV is 65UJ620V

Same for me, and i see this as a legal issue as both services are advertising that they work in romania, someone should fix this

i've read in some solutions about changing regional settings has solved the problem, have you tried this?

They don't know how to fix this. If the IP is Romanian it will not work. Google has to fix this.

Got the same issue here with my new LG ThinQ TV.  I can control the tv with the iOS ThinQ app but it simply refuse to connect to Google Home/Assistant app.  I tried to change the TV's location but it only shows "Auto/My-Country/Others", but when I select Others, it doesn't allow any other selection and does nothing.  Local support told me it's normal because the service is not supported in this country/region.  It's a false advertisement and completely misleading the consumers!  Why would I want to carry around their magic remote control just to tell the TV what to do.  It's the last LG device I'll ever buy.

Just to add that my google Nest works with other brands' smart devices as well as Google Assistant/Home app, so the issue is with LG.  Honestly, why would users need to fiddle with country/language settings just to get it to work?  Not to mention having to setup a different LG account just to switch country?  What logic is that?

Exactly! I will sell mine! Good bye LG
