Nest and G Suite accounts

I found the following thread relating to my issue and am echoing the OP's issue.

https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Apps-Account/G-suite-accounts-not-supported/td-p/321694

I need access to the Nest App using my existing account as is stated clearly on your own help page, https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/10503498?hl=en&ref_topic=7173611&sjid=48593288436702921...:

"Note: If you’ve signed in to any Google product before (like Gmail, Maps, or YouTube), you may already have a Google Account. You can use the same username and password you created for that product to sign in to any other Google product or service, including Nest."

I have signed into those and many others over the years. There are no disclaimers anywhere in the above quote regarding the inability to use a G Suites account.

I paid my HVAC company for these when the new systems were installed recently, and so, have no way of swapping them out at the retailer from where they were purchased. You either need to refund my money, or resolve the issue so that they work with my existing account. Like many others, this is a FAMILY account, not a business account, and has been active for the better part of two decades. In fact, this was originated at a web hosting company which was later acquired by Google.

Hello 22lecher,

I genuinely understand the inconvenience you have faced. I am in on this right away! If you have a Nest thermostat installed and are unable to set it up using your preferred email account, we can help you set it up using a regular Gmail account. You can identify a G Suite account if the domain is different from regular https://goo.gle/2th5cYA. You can't use a Google Workspace account because the account data is managed by your organization, and some of the app features are not available for Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts.

Here is a link to the FAQs about accounts for the Nest app.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Best,
Edmond

I guess i am forced to find an alternate vendor for this service since Google clearly is unable or unwilling to make thier systems work together.

I am experiencing the same problems. Why in the world can I not use G-Suite/Google Workspace account for Nest devices?

Even if it is a business it should at least have the possibility to add security camera´s!

Please google, somebody should take this feedback to an Product manager.
