Nest app won't log in

I'm having the same issue this person had:

My Nest app has always been logged in since I first started using it but now it's asking me to log in. I tried logging in using my google account and it just goes back to the original screen that says log in using google account. I can log in fine on the browser but the app is stuck in a loop where it just goes back to login after the google login prompt (and the allow Nest permissions) screen is gone. I'm not getting any errors. Hitting Allow just acts the same as canceling login.

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with logging in on the app, I'm sure it's frustrating, but I'm happy to help. 

Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app?

What other troubleshooting steps have you taken to try and fix this as well?
