I migrated my Nest to Google Home, following all directions. The thermostat migrated but it won’t show in the Google Home app so I can remotely control it as I used to. I read and lots of the help ideas but nothing works. I tried creating another “home” in Nest and then deleting it in Google Home but that did not help. I’ve spent 5 frustrating hours trying to research and trouble shoot and am out of things to try. I have logged out and logged back in, restarted my device and still nothing. Other than purchasing a new thermostat, what else can I do? Thanks.

If you have a Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E that was previously installed in the Google Nest app, then it should still be accessible in the Google Nest app when you use the "Sign in with Google" option to sign into the Google Nest app.
I don't know why you're not also seeing it in the Google Home app.

When I log out and back in my Nest App, it logs me back in with Google. I cannot access my thermostat in the Nest app and it does not appear in my Google Home app. To say it is very frustrating in an understatement.

So now my nest app is not working again. I cannot control my thermostat at all. I have to add product again! When I get to the key it says it is already connected to an account so I can’t get the key. I entered the key I had from before and it says to choose the number that matches my thermostat’s display. Nothing other than the temp show on my display and there is no place in the set up app to enter anything! I just want to set a schedule and be able to control my thermostat when not home. It should not be this difficult! Do I have to reset every time my app does this??

Hi there,
@Dmt09, thanks for letting us know. I'm sorry for the trouble. Please reset your Nest Thermostat's Account Connection. After that, connect your thermostat back to its Wi-Fi Network. Once done, continue setting up your thermostat in the app.
You can follow the guide below:
I appreciate the help, @MplsCustomer and Emerson.
Thanks,
Jenelyn
