Nest to google Home migration and future devices?

So I moved from NEST to G Home, however I have Nest Protect Devices that show up in Nest app but NOT google home app - what will happen with these devices in terms of function/control in the google home app?

And more importantly, moving forward with new nest devices, how will they be handled with google home app?

Do I need to still keep the Nest app to handle the old nest devices or will google home incorporate them?

Any ideas if google will implement similar features that the nest app has? Website view, one screen for all devices view, etc?

You need to keep your nest app for all nest products like protects and the alarm.  Google is a long way off from deciding which app they will allow us to use.  Sadly for us Nest users we stuck with 2 different apps
