Not receiving password reset email from nest

Not receiving password reset email from nest

Checked spam filter not hitting spam filter.

Added accounts.nest.com and nest.com to the whitelist on the spam filter.

Still no email.

Please provide some next steps.

Call [REDACTED].  They helped me reset my password.

Been using Nest thermostats for almost 9 years now. Just bought 3 more new thermostats last month.  I got logged off all my apps and I cannot sign in or receive reset emails. Thank you Google!

You have a long list of folks that are having the same problem with no ability to sign into their Nest account either by an attempt at resetting their password (i.e., no sent link to reset password) or via their Google account.  Has anyone had a satisfactory resolution to this problem?  This does not bode well for  Google, i.e., Nest products and their position in the marketplace to leave their customers "high and dry".  Do you have a concrete solution or do I simply chuck your products, change my browser and email address?

  • In the Nest app, do you use the Sign in with Google button or the Sign in with Nest link? If you have migrated to a Google Account, you'll need to use the Sign in with Google button and manage your password for the Google Account on https://bit.ly/3gZscjz (there is no separate password for Nest if you use Sign in with Google).
  • What email address is associated with the account? 
  • For non-migrated users, have you added @https://bit.ly/3gWzDs2 to their email service's allowlist? Please check if you have account@nest.com added to your email service's allowlist.
  • Have you checked your spam, promotions, or junk mail folders?
  • Is your email address provided by your ISP? 
  • Do you receive other Nest emails to your email address?

I am not getting an email on how to recover my password. I need to get into my nest to turn up the heat since we are getting a major nor'easter and I/m not at my home.

I get my monthly updates sent to John"lenahan.com

but the email might be something else like #########

I have requested a password reset from all of my emails - nothing.

I would like some heat - it's February

I'm willing to reset the whole thing but I need this to get sorted.

Been trying to reset my password for 24 hours! 30 + times and never a email. If I cannot get this resolved today, Ill be buy all new Ring products.

Call ############ that's what I had to do. Or merge your gmail account with the nest account and sign in with the gmail email and the gmail password. That's what I had to do to finally get in. I wasn't receiving the reset email either it was very frustrating but mine is working now after calling the number and being told to use my gmail email and password. The app should give you a sign in with Google option.

I am experiencing the EXACT SAME PROBLEM that all the other people posting mentioned.

I can't recall my Nest password.  I used the password reset option and I'm told that an e-mail was sent to me to allow me to reset.  But the e-mail NEVER ARRIVES.  It's NOT in my inbox.  It's NOT in the spam folder.  It's NOT anywhere and I can't sign into my account that I paid good money for.

Why is this so difficult?  Why do I NEVER receive the reset e-mail?  HOW are you going to fix this so I can actually use what I already PAID good money for?  WHO can I contact to get this truly stupid problem fixed?  Your bot suggestions are garbage.  This isn't an isolated event, obviously.

did you ever get this resolved?  im having the same issue.  no response back when trying to reset password.  very frustrating.  customer service number is constantly busy too.

Hi, yes  I (finally) got through on the customer service phone number and was on the phone for an hour and a half.  But, they finally got it fixed.


It's ridiculous that something so simple can't be easily done by the customer.  I was frustrated and angry.  They really need to update that password recovery because it seems to be a VERY common problem.

I wish you all the luck in the world.  Hang in there, because they will actually take care of you on that phone line.  I got absolutely nowhere using any other avenue.

Sorry guys, they hid the number I put in there to help you.  Let's try this way ...

Do an internet search for "Google Nest Customer Service"  You'll see the number listed.  Be tenacious and keep calling that number until someone actually helps you.  It should NOT be so hard to get what you've already paid for.
