Not receiving password reset email from nest

Checked spam filter not hitting spam filter.

Added accounts.nest.com and nest.com to the whitelist on the spam filter.

Still no email.

Please provide some next steps.

Call [REDACTED].  They helped me reset my password.

We just tried calling this number because we don't get the password reset email either. When calling we get a recording that says "this number is no longer active.'

Ok, try Google Nest Chat.  I saw where a guy was able to solve his problem by asking questions on it.

This is what he said:

All, I used the Google Nest chat support and they explained the issue. If at some point you
transferred the nest account to Google, you will
not receive a password retrieval email using a
nest login. You need to log in using your Google
account. So simple, but it worked. Would be great
if they fixed the user experience on the site so we
aren't all caught in this loop. Good luck.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. See the steps below and let me know how it goes.

1. Please check the following.
   • Spam folder
   • Promotions folder
   • Junk or Trash if their email filters junk mail directly to the trash
2. Did you recently delete your Nest account or have received an email from Nest that asks to confirm their account's deletion?
3. Try the following steps.
   • If your mail service uses one, add @Nest.com to their allowlist. The steps on how to do this step vary based on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you can't find the steps on how to do this with a simple Google search, then contact your ISP for help with the process.
     1. Some email domains may have an anti-spam feature that could block legitimate emails from Nest inadvertently. If you added account@nest.com to your allowlist, you should receive the verification email.
     2. Known domains which block Nest emails at the server level: @btinternet.com and @comcast.com.
   • If you still can't receive emails after you added account@nest.com to your allowlist, contact your ISP or email provider.

I am not on either Comcast or BT. I am using a Legacy Google Workspace account, essentially Gmail. The reset email does not appear in any of the places you mentioned. If I want to specifically add account.nest.con to my Legacy Google Workspace account, how do I do that?

I don’t have any idea how to do what you ask. My Nest cameras work on my iPad but there are 3 email addresses and 3 different passwords in my files. All I want to do is connect my new iPhone.

Google owns Nest now. The best way for them to collect ALL your data is to ensure your Nest account is based on Gmail. They make it impossible for legacy users to reset without using a gmail account so they can data mine you for all you’re worth.
