Oops! We encountered an error. Please try again.

I am trying to set up the Nest Cam on my GAIA account. I continue to get an error "Oops! We encountered an error. Please try again." in either path I choose... either Login with Google or Log in with Nest. I don't recall I ever had a legacy Nest account with this GAIA.

What should I do?

Hi shutterbabejsc,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please confirm if you're using a Google Nest speakers to link with your Nest Camera? We'd love to know more about it so we can assist you further.

I am not using any other Google products. The nest hub Max has joined a new home.

Hi shutterbabejsc,

Thanks for responding. If you have additional questions about your Google Nest speakers, feel free to respond to this thread.

I'm confused. My issue isn't with best speakers it's worth connecting my Nest Hub Max Nest Cam.

I can't use either the nest app nor the home app because I'm getting this error..

The whole reason I bought this was for the camera

Hi folks,

Thanks for the help Princess.

HI shutterbabejsc, thanks for posting. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. A few things: is this the first time that you are setting up your Nest Hub Max camera or it was set up? What steps have you tried so far?

You can go ahead and do full reset then attempt to setup your Nest Hub Max as a new device then set up the Nest camera once more and observe if it will make a difference.

Before you reset the device do the steps below.

  1. Make sure the device is plugged into a power source that’s tested and functional.
  2. Remove the device from the Google Home app.
  3. Open the Google Home app .
  4. Tap and hold the device's tile.
  5. Tap Settings and then  Remove device and then Remove.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

I have done everything. I have factory reset the device, I have updated the apps on both iOS and Android, I have downloaded the app on a new phone... And I am still receiving a error message when I attempt to sign in with either Google or Nest to set up the Nest. Cam.
