Philips hue bridge : something went wrong

Vizchic

Like many others I too have a nest mesh, with Philips hue that was connected, but no longer working. I had a power outage which meant I needed to factory reset my mesh, finally got that running only to have to reset my hue bridge and fix that completely. Now I have another issue where the hue bridge won’t connect to google home. Seriously. FML.

I’ve tried other recommendations to fix on here and hue sites, but nothing is working.

tried setting up new home, nope.
my hue bridge factory reset just made me spend another hour redoing the lights

its a huge waste of money for nothing

Hey Vizchic,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's sort this out.

Are you still able to control your lights using your Philips Hue app? Could you check if you can see your Philips Hue light bulbs listed under Linked Devices? Make sure your Philips Hue bridge and Google Home are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router. Try rebooting your Hue bridge, router and Google Home to refresh the connection. Reinstalling your Google Home app might help too. You can use the command "OK Google, sync my devices"

Hope this helps.

Best,

Alex
