Anybody know how to remove an account from a nest thermostat?
No idea which email and password used to establish original Nest account. Want to migrate thermostat to new Nest account.
Thanks!

Hi Gillian1,
Thanks for reaching out. To remove the account on your Nest Thermostat, you would need to reset it back to the factory defaults. Please follow the steps on this link.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi there,
Can you leave it unlocked so I can still view it? I am unable to test this out till this weekend.

Hi there,
I was taking this step in preparation for selling my home and leaving the thermostat behind. After reviewing all the instructions, I have decided to wait until closing to take the step of resetting the thermostat.
I will save the link you provided and try it whenever the house closes. If I have problems at that time, I’ll reach out then.
Thank you so much for the help and follow up!
Gillian
