Samsung SmartThings linking problem with Home app

A couple of days ago my wife received a notice from google home stating that I had deleted our samsung TV from the app. I had not deleted it, but I checked and found that it was gone from my listed devices in the home app. I also found that the samsung smartthings app was not longer showing in the list of linked apps. I have attempted to relink it, but without success. When I attempt to search it is the list of items that work with google it won't locate smartthings. When I manually look through the list, the smartthings  app is their and I go through the the linking process. It says the link is successful, but it still does not show in the list of linked apps and the television does not show in my list of available devices. I check the smartthings app and it states it is linked with google home. I have unlinked and attempted to relink,  deleted and reinstalled all the apps multi times and have went as far as doing a complete factory reset on my phone.  I have other apps such as wemo, phillips hue and Roku linked through google home that are working fine.

Has anyone else run across this and how was it fixed so I can again connect my Samsung TV to google home.

Hello and thanks for the response. Sorry I should updated this question, but I was able to get this working again. Seems to may have been more of a ST problem rather than GH. I had to delete my Samsung account from ST and then delete the ST app. Reinstall and then add back my TV to the app. All seems to be working fine at this time.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble this has caused you. 

 

A quick question: are you still able to control your Samsung TV from your SmartThings app? 

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Remove your Samsung TV from the SmartThings app.
  2. Logout account from the SmartThings app.
  3. Add your TV back to app
  4. Try relinking your SmartThings account to your Google Home app
  5. Say the voice command, “Hey Google, sync all devices." 
  6. If all fails, try resetting your Google Home.
