I recently moved home, and so I am trying to reinstall all the sensors as new ones in the new home on my existing account (just change the address). All sensors and doors previously installed in the old place with no problem and account was functional before this (never encountered sign out problem).
I am trying to setup a nest detect sensor, half way through the setup, it will get singed out saying there was a problem connecting to the Nest service. This leaves the setup unfinished. I then logged back in, and the nest detect is not functional since setup has not completed.
If I go to the gear icon on the top left -> security, I would see the nest detect registered, and if I click on it I would offered to "Finish setup" which is good.... but, the place stopped is not far enough into the setup process, so after I re-do part of the process I will get logged out again because the process of setting up nest detect is longer than what I can stay signed in. So there is no chance I will ever get the nest detect setup complete.
What should I do? this is beyond frustrating as the app never stay signed in for longer than a minute in general. I looked at other forum post like this one and it seems like there was never any fix being offered other than "log back in" which IMO is not really a fix at all.
Am I just out of luck and should just look at some other offering like Ring?
