Unable to add person to google nest

Hi there, I have been unable to add my wife to our household on the Google Home app. I am consistantly being told when I get to the part where I'd send the invite, that I "Cannot send invitation at the moment" and to try again. Ive tried several email addresses for her, and none work. 

  • She has a gmail address 
  • Not part of any other home accounts
  • I am a Google Workspace user (for work).

I hope we're able to resolve this. Thank you.

I understand that this can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Hi there, yes I do still require your assistance on this. I have tried simple triublshooting, like restarting and closing the app. Unlinking and reconnecting etc, but nothing really working. Could you please assist

Hey there, 

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this but thanks for giving me the steps you've tried. One thing to note, if you're using a Google workspace, or Gsuite account, you will not have the option to do this as you will need to create a personal gmail address to be able to manage or add new members to your household.
